About Camvori

A camera should be yours.

Most home cameras arrive with an account, a cloud and a monthly fee to look at your own front room. Camvori starts from the other end: you already own the hardware — we just make it private.

The idea

Two phones that trust each other.

There’s a phone in almost every drawer — cracked, outdated, a battery that doesn’t last the day. It still has a very good camera and a Wi‑Fi radio. That’s all a home camera really is.

Camvori pairs that phone with the one in your pocket. You scan a code together, once, in the same room. From then on the two phones recognise each other — and nobody else.

There is no Camvori account to hack and no Camvori video library to leak, because we never receive your video in the first place.

What we hold to

Four principles.

Yours, not ours.

No account, no cloud library, no subscription to see your own living room. The video lives on your phones and nowhere else.

Introduced in person.

Trust starts with a QR code scanned with both phones in your hands. It’s the one step that can’t be done remotely.

Honest by default.

If the camera drops, the picture disappears and “Live” turns off. Camvori never shows a frozen frame and calls it live.

Calm on purpose.

A quiet interface that does one job, in thirteen languages, and gets out of the way once it’s running.

The mark

A familiar eye. A private connection.

  • The open C

The camera’s aperture — and the first letter of the name.

  • The lens

The dot at its centre: the part of the phone that sees.

  • The detached dot

The other phone. A live connection between two devices, close but never merged.

Where we are

Early, and upfront about it.

Camvori is an early release. The pairing and live-video protocols are covered by automated tests, but the app hasn’t been through an independent security audit yet, and real-world numbers like battery, heat and codec performance are still being measured on real phones.

We’d rather tell you that than hide it. If you’re protecting something that truly matters, don’t rely on any single consumer camera app — including this one — as your only safeguard.
